Wow oh wow, what can I say?
This book was entertaining, face paced and left me questioning my fair judgement when it comes to evaluating characters.
I am amazed that this is Paula Hawkins first novel, it honestly does not read like one. I decided not to see the movie first because you know the old saying, the books are always better than the movies so my only first impression of “The Girl on the Train” is from the novel.
IThe first couple of chapters were a little bit slow, but they had the feeling like they would lead to something more. By page 100, I was hooked. The chapters rolled by and as the narrative voice changed from Rachel to Anna then to Megan, each chapter counting down the days till it is revealed who killed Megan.
I’d give this book a 9/10 it was an excellent read but some parts where a tad slow.
