Face Products I Love
The other day, as I was browsing through Ulta, picking up some beauty essentials and I thought that it would be fun to share with my blogging community what kinds of face products I love. I wanted to include the essentials like washes, masks, and moisturizers that I use. Let me know what kind you guys use in the comment section below! I’m always on the lookout for new, fun products!
Face wash & toner
First off, let’s start with face wash and toner. For my daily face wash, I use Skinfood‘s Egg White Pore Foam, which I got at Ulta for $11. I love this stuff because you really only have to use a dime size amount of product to feel like your face is squeaky clean. I found this product in June and am still using the same bottle, every day- it really last’s a long time.
Next, for my toner/cleanser, I use The Face Shop‘s Rice Water Bright: Cleansing Water ($12). I got a recommendation from my good friend who swears’s by Korean beauty products, so I thought that I might give it a go. Verdict: I freaking love this stuff; it not only tones my skin but also gives a nice glow to my face as well as diminishes any dark spots that I might have had. The cleansing water can also be used as a makeup remover and it works surprisingly well considering you don’t have to use a whole lot- one pump onto a cotton pad will work for your whole face!
Now let’s discuss face masks. In years past I went overboard with trying a couple different types of face masks almost every month and by doing this I made my skin seriously confused which in turn caused breakouts and dry skin. To show my skin a little love and affection, I did my research and have decided upon two types of masks which do different things for my face.
For a nice, hydrating face mask, I go with e.l.f‘s Hydrating Bubble Mask which I got at the mothership, Target, for $14. To use it, you push down on the top of the jar and a clear, almost gel-like texture, comes out of a tiny hole which you then apply to your face using your index finger or a little brush if you fancy like that. Massage in for about ten seconds to activate the foaming bubbles. Wait a few minutes and your face will be covered in bubbles; once they have dissipated, you then wash the gel off of your face. Great mask for when your skin needs that little pick me up.
I have a love/hate relationship with the pores on my face, some days they are so tiny that I almost jump with joy, almost. Other days, it seems as though they are the size of the tops of push pins. Anywho, when these days come and I want to just shrink up my pores, I use Skinfood‘s Egg White Pore Mask which I got at Ulta for $10.50. It works pretty darn well which can also be helped by the fact that I follow it up with the Egg White Pore Foam. I think the combo of the two really helps to shrink the pores. Without using the pore foam afterward, I think that my pores would be smaller but not as small as they are when I use both products.
Now, last but not least, face moisturizer. Along with the whole trying out every face mask under the sun problem, I also have gone through my fair share of face moisturizers. This uphill battle has finally seen an ending when I discovered Nip+Fab‘s Hydrate: Dragon’s Blood Plumping Serum at Ulta ($19.99). This serum can do wonder’s for your face in a flash and what I love is that it only take’s one dime-sized amount of product to really get my whole face/neck. While it is a bit more than what I have spent on face moisturizer’s in the past, it is totally worth it because it just works so well.
Next up, because ya girl has long nights and early morning, I want to discuss my under eye roller. I use Garnier Fructis: Skin Active Clearly Brighter: Anti-Puff Eye Roller, which I bought at Target for $8.99. This product works well to get rid of the puffy/ dark under eye circles that I get after a long night.
Lastly, to finish off the moisturizing for my face, I used Pearlessence’s Rose Water Hydrating Face Mist which I got at T.J. Maxx for $5.99. I went searching through the retailer’s site but I couldn’t find any direct links, so the hyperlink is to Amazon where you can also buy the mist. This face mist is nice and lite which allows me to spray it on after I moisturizer or after I have finished my makeup.
Hopefully, you have discovered some new products or learned a little bit more about products you might use and/or heard of. Let me know what you use as well as a link to your blog in the comments below!
